Krafton launched their Indian version of PUBG Mobile, Battlegrounds Mobile India a.k.a BGMI last month. BGMI became so popular just after the launch that it crossed 10 million downloads in just 24 hours. The game offers different gameplay experiences on different types of phones. With so many different levels of SoCs (Chipsets) coming up in smartphones, it is difficult to tell you which graphics settings your SoC supports.
We at Mysmartprice performed a ‘Mega BGMI Test’ to check what is the max graphics settings that a chipset can support. These tests were performed on different phones across different price ranges and will give you a fair idea of the max graphics settings the phone you’re planning to buy can support. Before jumping to test, you need to know what frame rate means in BGMI. Refer to the below table for a better understanding.
Frame Rate | FPS |
Low | 20 |
Medium | 25 |
High | 30 |
Ultra | 40 |
Extreme | 60 |

If we start from budget phones first, this space is dominated by Mediatek which outperforms the remaining SoCs in this segment. The competition between Helio G95 and Snapdragon 732G is insane. Both chipsets offer the best experience in this budget. However, for gaming, the Mediatek’s Helio G95 outperforms the Snapdragon 732G.
Not surprisingly, we got a clear winner in the mid-range segments, thanks to the powerful Snapdragon 860 in POCO X3 Pro. Both the SoCs, Snapdragon 870 and 888 do a great job in handling gaming duties. However, the Snapdragon 888 heats up after prolonged gaming. Meanwhile, Mediatek’s powerful chipset, Dimensity 1200 could only enable HDR at 40FPS and Smooth at 60FPS. We hope this test helped you in deciding your next phone for gaming.
