Redmi 9 Power and Redmi 9A models have received a price hike in India and starting today, you will have to spend as much as Rs 500 extra to buy these phones. Starting with the Redmi 9 Power, the 6GB+128GB variant of the phone will now be available for Rs 13,499, Rs 500 more than its earlier retail price of Rs 12,999, on both online and offline stores. On the other hand, the Redmi 9A model with 3GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage will now be available for Rs 7,799, instead of Rs 7,499 on both online and offline channels. The new prices of these phones will be effective from today, i.e. July 17th, onwards.
Redmi 9 Power specifications
The Redmi 9 Power packs a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch design that houses an 8MP selfie camera. The phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Redmi 9 Power is fuelled by a Snapdragon 662 SoC, coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage. In the camera department, the Redmi 9 Power features a quad-camera setup at the back consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone houses a massive 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support.
Redmi 9A specifications
Redmi 9A sports a 6.53-inch HD+ LCD display and is powered by MediaTek Helio G25 chipset, paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage. Notably, the handset does not come with a fingerprint sensor. Moving on to the optics, the Redmi 9A features a single 13MP AI camera at the back, assisted by an LED flash. For selfies and video-calling, you get a 5MP snapper. The entire setup is driven by a 5,000mAh battery.
